Six days of onboarding launched a year of leadership development, coaching and mentorship.

BRIGHT was represented by its founder, Liliane Uwase, following her selection for the third cohort of the Amahoro Coalition Fellowship Programme. The October onboarding brought together 41 fellows from 11 countries in Naivasha, Kenya, for a programme that strengthens initiatives led by people with lived experience of displacement.

The intensive explored African identity, leadership ethics, purpose, values and vision. Entrepreneurship sessions introduced fresh approaches to elevator pitches and human-centred design, with solutions developed with communities.

In her leadership reflection, Liliane chose transformational leadership: inspiring others while creating space for their voices. Her mission manifesto emphasises empathy, justice, equity, resilience and innovation.
