The first summit of the African Refugee Women-Led Network, in Nairobi

From 16 to 19 December 2024, BRIGHT's founder took part in the first summit of the African Refugee Women-Led Network (ARWNET), as its Head of Communication. Sponsored by Oxfam with Independent Diplomat, and with UNHCR and Cohere taking part, the summit trained participants in leadership, resource mobilisation, evidence-based advocacy and diplomacy.
Liliane Uwase shared BRIGHT's approach to tackling poverty through education, advocacy, agriculture and entrepreneurship, documented the summit in photos and video, and wrote its 33-page report.
